Towersey Festival : 27-30 August 2010
We were a booked team at Towersey Festival in 2010.
We arrived to a very muddy campsite, but the weather over the weekend wasn't too bad.
Our first commitment was the GW workshop on Saturday, well-supported as we ran through Lass of Richmond Hill, Stairway to Heaven and Maid of the Millenium.
Then, in the afternoon, an arena performance which went down very well with an enthusiastic (and participative) audience.
In the evening, we danced at the 'Recycling' ceilidh, complete with loads of recycled rubbish emptied from the green bins. Included in the performance was Adrian's dumping of Simon's daughter in a green bin - spoofing the woman who had recently been shown on CCTV doing the same (for real) with a cat.
On the Sunday, another arena performance and then a very strange spot within a rope circle, leading to some innovative development of new dance versions for Princess Royal, The Rose and 42nd.
On the Monday, a highly enjoyable arena performance with Gaorsach and Nonesuch follwed by an afternoon ceilidh spot.
A successful weekend.
